Diaphragm valves are manually or air actuated and are specially designed for hygienic and aseptic processes in the pharmaceutical industry. This valve is excellent for controlling and on/off fluid flow.

Diaphragms seal the valve body and seat, ensuring no contact with the environment. Hence, it is ideal for aseptic processes. When the valve is closed, the pressure seal that holds up the diaphragm moves towards the sealing face of the valve body. As the pressure plate moves, the diaphragm bends and is forced toward the center of the seat area, thus shutting off the flow path. The relevant design of the valve body and pressure plate prevents the diaphragm from being pressed. The valve can be operated manually or by air, and it can also be controlled via a control top and solenoid valve.
