New rehab unit for the Chicago Fire Department
From ldvusa.com:
Here's a detailed breakdown of the newly completed mobile rehab vehicle for the Chicago Fire Department. This impressive unit is built on a Freightliner MT-55G chassis, powered by a robust TQS 308HP V8 engine paired with an Allison 2200HS automatic transmission. The exterior features an all-aluminum body design that includes several of their Extreme Duty storage compartments for gear organization and a custom aluminum flip-down step for easy access. To provide shade, we've installed a power-retracting awning on the curbside. Additionally, a Rosco Vision 360° camera system has been integrated for enhanced visibility. An Igloo 5-gallon water dispenser is mounted securely at the rear using a truck mount bracket.
Stepping inside, you'll notice a sliding cab divider door that offers privacy and functionality. There’s a single workstation equipped with a high-quality commercial cabinet, complete with a dry erase board on the cabinet door for notes and reminders. Fixed bench seats are provided on both the driver and passenger sides, ensuring comfort during operations. Overhead ceiling grab bars have been installed for safety. For climate control, dual Klimaire mini-split heat pump systems keep the interior comfortable year-round, while a direct discharge furnace takes care of heating duties in colder months. Power needs are handled by an Onan Commercial Quiet gas generator, providing ample electricity. We also prewired the vehicle to accommodate communication radios.
