At the recent 2006 China Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Development Forum, Zhu Yu, former president of the China National Petroleum and Chemical Research Institute of Economics and Technology pointed out that the current opportunities and challenges for China's oil refining equipment coexist.

One of the opportunities is the large-scale development of oil refining capacity. At least 10 million tons of capacity must be put into operation every year for the next five years, and 20 or more tons of refineries should reach 20 or more, which will effectively promote the development of large-scale equipment for refining equipment; Increasing the light oil yield will inevitably increase the depth of processing, and the secondary processing equipment (catalysis, reforming, delayed catalysis, etc.) will correspondingly increase significantly; thirdly, the oil quality must meet the national III standard, and the hydrogenation series equipment will increase substantially. It is expected that the capacity of hydrogenation series will increase by 35 million to 40 million tons/year by 2010, and the demand for various hydrogenation reactors will increase substantially. Fourth, the increase in foreign dependence on crude oil and refining capacity, and the storage of oil products. The transport system needs to increase substantially. The capacity of crude oil docks to be connected and unloaded must be increased by 150 million tons/year, and the capacity of various storage tanks must be increased by more than 100 million cubic meters.

At the same time, the refining equipment industry is also facing three major challenges: First, efficient oil refining companies need efficient equipment, energy consumption from 75 kg standard oil/ton crude oil to 70 kg standard oil/ton crude oil, processing sulfur, acid-containing crude oil, light The oil yield is over 75%, which requires new processes, new equipment (including new mass transfer equipment, high-efficiency heat exchangers, high-efficiency reactor internals, efficient furnaces, etc.); the second is the need to develop large-scale, high-precision, Long-life large-scale equipment, such as large-scale high-parameter centrifugal compressors, high-power high-parameter reciprocating compressors, etc., to meet the needs of refining and chemical integration, large-scale; Third, we must improve equipment reliability, equipment fault diagnosis technology and pressure vessel safety Assessment and longevity technology to meet the needs of long-term operation.
