Cicero repaints firehouse doors
Josh Boyajian shared some recent photos of Cicero Fire Station 1 and Station 2, both of which have now been painted with traditional red doors. The change has sparked some interest among local residents, who are noticing the updated look of these historic buildings.
The first image shows Fire Station 2 with its new red doors, a striking contrast to its previous color scheme. Taken by Josh Boyajian, the photo highlights the fresh, classic appearance that the station now sports.
Another image, submitted by Hank Sajovic, shows the same station but with its older brown doors, offering a nice before-and-after comparison. It's clear that the red doors stand out more prominently against the brick exterior, giving the building a more traditional and recognizable firehouse look.
In addition, a third photo from Josh Boyajian captures Fire Station 1, which also now features red doors. This seems to be part of a broader effort to update or restore the visual identity of the department’s stations, possibly to align with historical standards or community preferences.
