This is from Larry Shapiro: On May 21, 2015, firefighters from Buffalo Grove were called to 271 Lincoln Terrace after a tree worker fell from a crane approximately 30 to 40 feet above a detached garage. The worker had climbed up with the crane to reach an upper tree limb, where he secured a large branch to the crane. At some point, he lost his balance and fell onto the roof below. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene and carefully placed the injured man on a backboard before securing him in a Stokes basket. They then lowered him to the ground for transport to a local hospital. The situation was handled with precision, and the worker was taken to receive medical attention as soon as possible. Here are some photos from the incident, along with a short video that captures the aftermath of the accident.
