Lake Villa Fire District ambulances

<

Jeff Rudolph recently visited the Lake Villa Fire District and shared new photos of several ambulances. Two of these units have been repainted to match the fire district’s iconic red color scheme. Previously, these vehicles were part of the Lake Villa Rescue Squad, which operated with a blue and white livery. Now that the rescue squad has officially merged under the fire district, all apparatus—including these ambulances—has transitioned to the red color. For more background on this change, check out the previous posts [HERE](#) and [HERE](#). One of the repainted units is this 2010 Ford E-450/Osage ambulance, now assigned as Ambulance 241R. The vehicle was captured in its new look by Jeff Rudolph. Another unit, Ambulance 241, is a 2011 Ford E-450/Osage Type III. This one also received a fresh coat of red paint and is still in service with the department. A third ambulance, Ambulance 243, is a 2009 Ford E-450/Osage Type III that was also repainted. It continues to serve the community in its updated form. Interestingly, the same 2010 Ford E-450/Osage ambulance seen in earlier photos is now labeled as Ambulance 241R, indicating a recent reassignment. This photo was taken by Hank Sajovic. These updates show how the Lake Villa Fire District is modernizing its fleet as it integrates with the Rescue Squad, ensuring a consistent and professional appearance across all emergency response units.
