Manufacturers push diesel cars in succession Domestic diesel quality is a problem

<

Jetta and Polaris have diesel vehicles

Recently, China's first turbocharged Bora diesel vehicle launched by FAW-Volkswagen has been listed on the market.

The Bora diesel is already the second diesel sedan launched by FAW-Volkswagen. Last year, the Jetta SDI diesel sedan was on the market. Not only does FAW-Volkswagen have a soft spot for diesel vehicles, but other domestic automobile manufacturers have also launched their own diesel vehicles. Last year, Jiangling Landwind introduced a two-door recreational vehicle with a diesel engine, which has performed very well on a variety of off-road racing vehicles. In addition, Rui Feng and Hua Tetraka also launched their own diesel vehicles last year.

Diesel vehicle policy should be relaxed?

Due to the serious pollution in the past, diesel vehicles have been restricted by all countries in the major cities. However, with the advancement of technology, diesel vehicles have already shaken off the image of “fighting fish” and the country’s policies have gradually relaxed.

Last year, the “Technical Policy for Prevention and Control of Diesel Vehicle Emissions Pollution Prevention and Control” issued by the State Environmental Protection Administration clearly stated: “With the development of diesel vehicle and automotive diesel engine technology, the production and use of engine products with advanced technology and low pollutant emissions are not Discriminatory policies should be adopted.” At the same time, the relevant departments also announced the technical policies for the prevention and control of diesel vehicle emission pollution, and proposed that the corresponding exhaust emission standards be reached at different stages to fundamentally solve the problem of tail gas pollution of diesel vehicles.

Diesel vehicles are popular in Europe and America

The diesel engine passenger vehicle market continues to grow with European focus on market demand. In Western Europe, the proportion of diesel vehicles in 2002 was 40.3%, which is approximately three times that of 1990.

In the Japanese market, diesel engine cars gave consumers a bad impression. In 1990, the ratio of 5.4% diesel vehicles had dropped to 0.13% in 2002. However, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has announced that it will start developing a new generation of diesel engine technology that complies with environmental regulations.

In the North American market, light trucks, especially in the SUV market, are increasing, and it is estimated that this trend will continue in the future.

Expert opinion: Domestic diesel oil quality is worrying

According to Associate Professor Fei Pucheng, director of the engine department of the Department of Automotive Engineering at Tsinghua University, compared with gasoline engines, the biggest advantage of diesel engines is their economy and fuel economy. In addition, the torque characteristics of a diesel engine are greater at low to medium speeds, so its climbing ability is also stronger. Also, due to the lower speed of the diesel engine, the combustion temperature of the cylinder is relatively low, and the wear of the engine is relatively small. In addition, the diesel engine does not have a complicated high-pressure ignition system, so the engine failure rate is relatively small.

However, Mr. Fei Pucheng also pointed out that there are many harmful substances in diesel emissions. Relevant data show that among the pollutants emitted by motor vehicles in the country, diesel vehicles account for 43% of nitrogen oxide emissions and 83% of particulate matter. The most harmful to the environment and human body is soot particles, which float in the air, not only pollute the atmosphere, but also have a carcinogenic effect on the human body. Therefore, strict restrictions on diesel vehicles in the past are not unreasonable.

Professor Fei Pucheng said that the biggest problem in the current popularity of diesel vehicles in cities is that the quality of diesel oil in the country is still generally unacceptable. Not only is the sulphur content in diesel oil too high, but also there are a lot of impurities, so the emissions from diesel vehicles The standard is very unfavorable. In addition, the relevant laws and regulations of the country are still not sound enough, which to a certain extent also affects the popularity of environmentally friendly diesel vehicles in large cities.
