From January to November 2010, sales of heavy trucks (including complete vehicles, non-integrated vehicles and semitrailer tractors) in China increased by 64.45% year-on-year to 9,411,800 units. Among them, the sales of heavy-duty trucks and semi-trailer trucks saw the highest growth rate, which was an increase of 87.68% and 79.42% year-on-year, respectively, to 226,600 units and 334,100 units. The heavy truck non-complete vehicle (referred to as the chassis) has the lowest growth rate, which is 43.44%, but the total amount is still the highest among the three sub-categories, which is 381,500 vehicles.
The top ten heavy truck companies with sales volume are FAW, Dongfeng, CNHTC, Shaanxi Auto, Beiqi Foton, Beiben Heavy Duty Truck, SAIC Iveco Hongyan, Anhui Hualing, Jianghuai and Sanhuan special vehicles. Under the hot growth of the heavy-duty truck market, the status of sales of the top ten car companies remains stable, but its market share has dropped from 97.94% in the same period last year to 96.53%.

The overall growth rate of the top ten companies from January to November 2010 was 62.07%, slightly lower than the average growth rate of the heavy truck market. From the perspective of various companies, the growth of heavy truck sales of FAW, Dongfeng, Shaanxi Automobile, Beiben Heavy Duty Truck, Anhui Hualing and Jianghuai both surpassed the market average. Among them, the highest growth rate of JAC was 99.55%, followed by Dongfeng (80.28%), Anhui Hualing (70.49%) and FAW (70.44%).
Tricycle special vehicles have the lowest growth rate, only 16.74%. The Beiqi Futian and China National Heavy Duty Trucks also had an increase of only 30.71% and 53.81% respectively, which was lower than FAW and Dongfeng.

Judging from the heavy-duty truck market, the fastest-growing of the top ten car companies is Beiqi Foton, which grew by 377.50% to 26,400 vehicles, and its ranking in the market has thus risen from seventh to fourth. The second highest growth rate was Zhejiang UFO Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., which was a year-on-year increase of 313.11% to 6,114 vehicles.
In addition, Dongfeng and FAW also have more than 100% growth respectively. Dongfeng's sales of heavy trucks for the January-November period of 2010 increased by 143.85% to 17,600, and FAW increased by 142.10% to 7,275. Heavy truck sales of China National Heavy Duty Trucks only increased by 44.62%, but it still maintained the number one position in the market, and its advantage in leading the second place is expanding. In the same period of last year, the sales gap between Shaanxi Auto and China National Heavy Duty Truck, the company with the second-largest sales volume of heavy trucks, was 18,400 units. From January to November 2010, it increased to 23,200 units. 
â— Heavy trucks and non-integrated vehicles: Futian's negative growth
From January to November 2010, the sales of non-integrated trucks of Beiqi Foton dropped 2.96% from the same period last year to 29,200 units, making it the only company with negative growth in the top ten heavy truck and non-complete vehicle sales. FAW also only increased 25.08% to 73,800 vehicles. Dongfeng, China National Heavy Duty Truck, SAIC Iveco Hongyan and Anhui Hualing have all increased by about 60%. Xugong Automobile has a 318.86% growth in the current period due to its small base. Shaanxi Auto's growth rate (49.13%) also exceeded the market average. There were only 1,363 heavy-duty trucks and 646 heavy-duty trucks sold during January-November 2010 for Qingling Automobiles and Guangzhou Automobile Hino with foreign investment.

In the top ten sales of semi-trailer tractors, the growth rate of Guangqi Hino, which has a low base, is the highest - a year-on-year increase of 602.38% to 885 vehicles. FAW, Dongfeng, Anhui Hualing and Guangzhou Automobile Hino also all had more than 100% growth. Among them, FAW's semi-trailer truck sales from January to November increased by 107.64% to 137,400 units, Dongfeng increased by 119.50% to 62,400 units, and Anhui Hualing increased by 108.28% to 7,219 units.
However, Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. only grew 7.10% year-on-year to 40.1 million vehicles. Its sales volume was surpassed by Dongfeng and its growth rate was the lowest in the top ten. In addition to Beiqi Foton, Sinotruk and SAIC Iveco Hongyan’s sales growth of semitrailer tractors was also lower than the market average: China Heavy Duty Truck increased 52.33% YoY from January to November to 35,800 units, SAIC Iveco Red Rock Growth 72.49% to 1906 vehicles.
