October agricultural notes for vegetables

<

The weather is getting cooler this month. The average monthly temperature is 18.4°C. At the end of the month there is the possibility of initial frost. The amount of rainfall during this month is generally less, and there is often a long autumn drought.

The production in October is mainly to strengthen the field management of autumn vegetables, and we must pay close attention to the cultivation of winter vegetables and the establishment and sowing of wintering vegetables.

First, the focus of the field management of autumn vegetables is fertilizer and water management, but at the same time it must be combined with other management work such as pest control.

1. Due to the favourable climate in this period, various vegetables (including leafy vegetables, root vegetables, and fruit vegetables) grow rapidly. Therefore, we must use top-dressing and timely watering to meet the nutrients and moisture needed to accelerate growth. However, the method has to be different depending on the weather and different vegetables. In terms of fertilization, medium- and slow-cooked broccoli in wintering vegetables are generally given heavy fertilizers before cold dew, which is too late to cause freezing damage. The method of drought resistance is to adopt spray, pouring or shallow water furrow irrigation, and the dry elephant should be watered several times before being lifted.

2. We will continue to strengthen the control of soft rot, downy mildew, viral diseases, cabbage caterpillars, aphids, and diamondback moths.

3. Do a good job loose soil, weeding, earthworms and other work, especially wintering broccoli and cabbage to strengthen the mulching of the soil to prevent freezing.

4. Autumn tomatoes and autumn peppers are covered with plastic film before the onset of morning frost to avoid frost damage.

Second, the seedlings of winter vegetables continue to be well-developed.

1. Ammodia mustard, pancakes, spring pickles, and mustard were all planted at the end of the year.

2. Spring cabbage ("tip" varieties), early spring lettuce, and winter vegetables are generally planted three days prior to cold dew, and are basically completed 3 to 5 days after cold dew.

3. "Slow in March," "Slow in April," and rapeseed frost began to sow seedlings.

4. Greenhouse eggplant, pepper, start sowing in mid-range, nursery.

Third, continue to focus on the cultivation and sowing of autumn vegetables and wintering vegetables.

1. Vegetables and celery continue to colonize; "Slowly grow" cauliflower before the end of the colonization of the frost.

2. Lashed vegetables began to colonize in the early days; the dumplings and mustard plants began to colonize in the late.

3. The spinach continued to sow; the end of the leeks was sown before cold sowing; the beans and peas were sown before the end of the month.

Fourth, on the vegetables, such as autumn beans, pickled white, etc., attention should be paid to timely picking, otherwise it will affect the quality.

5. The preparation of eggplant seedlings begins with preparations, such as the preparation of seedbeds and the preparation of cultured soils. Plastic greenhouses are ready in advance.

6. Before and after the end of the month, use loosely planted vegetables, vegetables, and vegetables to increase the supply in the off-season in January and February.
