This indicates that China's crude benzene hydrofining unit will begin to be large-scale, and the utilization rate of benzene resources and the level of cleaner production will increase.
It is understood that Shandong Yuhuang Chemical Group's 100,000-ton/year crude benzene hydrofining unit is provided with patented technology and engineering design by Southwest Chemical Research and Design Institute and Sichuan Tianyi Science and Technology Co., Ltd. This device is matched with the Yuhuang Group's 200,000 tons/year styrene plant. The crude benzene processing capacity is 110,000 tons/year. The coking crude benzene produces petrochemical grade benzene and toluene, xylene, etc. Triphenyl yield ≥98% Pure benzene purity reached 99.9%. The device has excellent environmental performance and "three wastes" discharge standards.
The device uses a special crude benzene vaporization process, effectively reducing the polymerization coking clogging during the evaporation process, thus ensuring the long-term stable operation of the device; hydrogenation part fully utilizes the reaction heat, and the rectification adopts pressure rectification to increase the steam utilization rate. Reduced device energy consumption, and no "three wastes" emissions. According to calculations, the entire investment of 145 million yuan will be able to recover the entire investment in two and a half years.
According to reports, crude benzene hydrofining technology is a technology for the preparation of high-quality benzene hydrocarbons through catalytic hydrogenation, removal of sulfur compounds and non-aromatic hydrocarbons from crude benzene. The benzene produced by this technology has high purity and basically no difference with the performance of petroleum benzene products, and can achieve effective separation with toluene and xylene. The products are pure benzene, toluene and xylene (including o-xylene, m-xylene and p-xylene. Toluene), toluene, and heavy benzene. The crude benzene hydrofining process has low energy consumption, low cost and good product quality, and represents the development direction of crude benzene processing and refining.

Most of domestic fine benzene production plants use acid washing method, because of the low purity of benzene produced, large amounts of unprocessable acid tar produced in the production process, serious environmental pollution, low product quality and product yield, which have been banned by the state and banned within a time limit. . At present, Baosteel and Shijiazhuang coking plants have four sets of crude benzene hydrogenation equipment imported from abroad, with a production capacity of approximately 21 million tons/year.
