SCHOTTEL launches high torque gear EcoPeller thruster

SCHOTTEL, a manufacturer of thrusters and steering systems, has introduced its new EcoPeller thruster (SRE). According to the company, the thruster is more efficient and reliable, using SCHOTTEL's patented new high-torque gear (HTG) gearbox technology.

         High Torque Gear (HTG) is an efficient, rugged, and reliable gearbox with ideal gear geometry for low maintenance, reduced service costs, and streamlined enclosures that allow for improved hydrodynamic performance.

         Streamlined gearbox housing

         This high-torque gear enables a bevel gear of the same size to have a 15% higher drive torque, but the safety margin remains the same for the classification society, not just the internal standard of SCHOTTEL. Under the same driving torque, the underwater gearbox housing can achieve more streamlined shape and increase hydrodynamic propulsion efficiency.

4. Complete frequency control, half load lifting speed is 2 times faster than the full load lifting speed.

5. Inverter, encoder and electronic control system to ensure the 4 hoisting motors keep synchronous working.
