Recently, Sany Heavy Industry North Plant No. 2 was beaming. Here, a new member, the SE408 excavator, was born on March 31. The successful development of this 42-ton excavator shows that Sany has fully developed and manufactured large-tonnage crawler-type hydraulic excavators.
As early as January of this year, Sany Heavy Industries set up the SEC408 tracked hydraulic excavator, and formulated a more urgent development plan for the market situation. With tight schedules, high demands, and arduous tasks, the project team completed the entire process from project investigation to construction drawing design review in just five months, and put into trial production in June as scheduled.
In the prototype stage of the prototype, facing the difficulties of self-made no-load fixtures, lack of materials for large-scale structural parts such as rotary platforms and working devices, difficulties in the production site, and delays in the supply of purchased parts, the project team promoted a “slow and grudge†style. When they did not rely on it, they took the initiative to make countermeasures and coordinated with the relevant departments. Under the hot weather in July, the project team staff continued to work overtime to overcome difficulties and ensure that the prototypes went offline as scheduled.
The large-scale structural parts such as the slewing platform and working device of the SEC408 excavator are self-manufactured, which greatly reduces the manufacturing cost, and provides valuable experience and technical preparation for the self-manufacture of other large excavator structural parts. At present, the SEC408 excavator market has a large demand, priced at 1.8 million. The successful trial production of this product became another bright spot for Sany excavator's profit growth.
It is understood that in order to enrich the company's excavator product line and adapt to market demand, Sany Heavy Industry has launched 6 tons, 13 tons, 31 tons and other tons of excavators since the end of last year, and also launched for different market requirements. 20 tons, 21 tons, 22 tons of 3 tons of different configurations of different operating system models, tire excavators will soon be put into mass production.
At present, the sales of SANY's excavators have been expanded overseas. Exports are in short supply. Four SY220C1s that had just been offline have already been sent to Morocco. It is estimated that there will be more than 10 excavator exports in August.
