Turck adds new features on RI inductive angle sensors

Turck's RI angle sensor can be set on-site as required by the application

Turck adds a new feature to the RI inductive angle sensor. From now on, the user can set the RI sensor directly on the device. Not only the range of rotation angles can be set, but also the start and end points can be set directly on the sensor as required. In addition, the direction of rotation can also be selected according to requirements.

The sensor was developed specifically for mobile devices and meets e1 certification. On the RI sensor, the angular position is not measured by a magnetic locating element, but by the RLC circuit. This sensor will be able to resist magnetic interference, such as can be used in high-power motor environment.

RI sensor measurement range of 360 °, the accuracy of up to 0.15% of full scale. The separate design of the sensor body and the positioning disk together with a positional tolerance of ± 4 mm ensures easy installation and safe operation of the sensor. Depending on requirements, the positioning disc can be mounted on a solid or hollow shaft.

The non-contact working principle reliably compensates for bearing eccentricity errors due to vibrations and other factors, while also ensuring high linearity. The sensors are also suitable for different output requirements: 0 ... 10 V, 4 ... 20 mA, 0.5 ... 4.5 V and SSI interface.
