3-Alarm fire in Maywood, 12-26-25 (more)

<

I just witnessed a dramatic 3-alarm fire in Maywood that broke out on December 26, 2025. Here’s a brief clip from the scene to give you an idea of how intense it was. Unfortunately, the video link isn’t working right now, but trust me when I say it was quite a sight. In addition to the video, I also managed to get my hands on some incredible photos taken by Tim Olk. These images really capture the magnitude of the blaze and the heroic efforts of the firefighters who responded. You can see the massive flames engulfing the building, and the fire trucks, including the E-One and Cyclone models, battling the inferno with everything they’ve got. One particular image shows a Spartan and Gladiator fire engine on the scene, their lights flashing against the dark sky as they worked tirelessly to contain the fire. Another shot highlights the impressive E-One truck alongside a Cyclone unit, both vehicles playing crucial roles in the operation. There’s even a picture taken from a slightly different angle that gives you a better sense of the church structure that was affected. The fire was so intense that it required multiple units from the Maywood Fire Department to bring it under control. It's truly humbling to see how these first responders work together under such stressful conditions. Tim’s photos really do justice to the scale of the disaster and the dedication of those involved. If you’re interested in learning more about this incident, keep an eye out for updates. I’ll be sure to share any new information as it becomes available. For now, let’s all take a moment to appreciate the bravery of our local firefighters who put their lives on the line every day to protect us.
