Evergreen Park house fire 6-9-13

<

Yesterday at around 9:33 AM, there was a fire in Evergreen Park at 9337 South Trumbull. Engine 49 was the first to arrive on the scene, and they quickly spotted smoke coming from the second floor. They managed to get the fire under control pretty fast, while Truck 44 headed to the roof to ventilate it. By the time I got there, about 45 minutes into the incident, the firefighters were already wrapping things up. These pictures below were taken by my friend Josh Boyajian, who was kind enough to share them with me. ![Oak Lawn Fire Department](image_url_here) *Photo Credit: Josh Boyajian* ![Evergreen Park Fire Department](image_url_here) *Photo Credit: Josh Boyajian* ![Evergreen Park Fire Department](image_url_here) *Photo Credit: Josh Boyajian* ![Evergreen Park Fire Department](image_url_here) *Photo Credit: Josh Boyajian* ![Evergreen Park Fire Department](image_url_here) *Photo Credit: Josh Boyajian* It's always impressive to see how quickly these firefighters can respond and handle situations like this. The teamwork between Engine 49 and Truck 44 was really evident, and it’s clear they’ve got their processes down to a science. It’s a reminder of just how important our local emergency services are, especially when you consider the challenges they face every day. If anyone knows more details about the cause or aftermath of the fire, feel free to share in the comments below!
