2nd Alarm for the explosion in Long Grove 4-25-14
Larry Shapiro sent over these initial images from 4773 Trenton Court in the Royal Melbourne subdivision of Long Grove. Part of this neighborhood falls under the Long Grove Fire Protection District, while the rest is covered by the Countryside Fire Protection District.
Late Friday evening, before 11 PM, firefighters were called to the scene due to a reported fire. By the time they arrived, the homeowner had already exited the house just moments before a massive explosion occurred, completely leveling the structure. The force of the blast scattered debris in every direction. Nearby homes weren't spared either—several experienced shattered windows, buckled garage doors, or even some structural damage.
This incident has caused quite a stir, and I’ll be updating you with more details as the day progresses.

It’s still unclear exactly what triggered the explosion, but early reports suggest it might have been linked to a gas leak. Investigators are on-site now, sifting through the rubble to piece together what happened. This kind of event is rare, but when it does occur, it leaves lasting impacts not only on those who lived there but also on the surrounding community.

(1) The nominal contact between rolling elements and raceways is point contact (in fact, it becomes surface contact after being loaded, but the contact surface is still small), and the slewing resistance is small;
(2) The manufacturing error of raceway, installation clearance, elastic deformation of rolling ring and seat frame have little influence on the contact condition, so the above points are less sensitive to the bearing capacity;
(3) The contact stress is higher than the line contact, and the shear stress formed under the surface of the raceway during movement is larger, so the dynamic bearing capacity is lower than the line contact;
(4) The raceway section is curved, so it is slightly difficult to process and grind.
