It is understood that coal resources are abundant in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province, and 92% of the province’s proven coal reserves are distributed in the eastern regions of Jixi, Hegang, Shuangyashan, and Qitaihe. The coal varieties are complete, of good quality, and are mostly low-sulfur, low-phosphorus coal. The eastern part of the province has the advantages of developing industries such as power generation, coal chemical industry, metallurgy, building materials, and bio-engineering. It has more than 20 mineral resources such as graphite, sillimanite, and limestone, and its graphite reserves and grade rank first in Asia.
At present, the coal chemical industry park in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province has been listed as the seven largest coal chemical industrial zones in the national coal chemical industry medium and long-term development plan. Heilongjiang Province also officially promulgated the "Development Plan for Coal-to-electricity Base in Eastern Heilongjiang Province" and "Several Policies for Supporting the Construction of Coal-to-Electrification Base in the East" to start construction of a coal-to-electricity base in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province, with a focus on building a batch of New coal chemical project, integration of coking enterprises, promotion of traditional coal chemical industry base construction, extension of industrial chain, and planning of six coal chemical industry parks with distinctive features in combination with local resource characteristics and market research, to promote the new coal chemical industry in Heilongjiang Province change.
It is reported that the six major coal chemical industrial parks will be located in Mudanjiang, Jiamusi, Shuangyashan, Qitaihe, Hegang and Jixi areas.
Heilongjiang build coal chemical industry group
The reporter learned at the recently held China (Jixi) International Coal Industry Expo that the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province will plan six coal chemical industry parks with distinctive features, striving to increase the coal chemical industry by 20%, and the sales revenue will reach 1500 by 2015. Billion yuan is 15 times the current sales revenue of the coal chemical industry.
