Allison Transmission Excellence Highlights at Construction Machinery Show

<

At the 2013 BICES Exhibition, Xugong Group, Shanhe Intelligence, Terex and Xiangfan CSR's cranes and mining trucks equipped with Allison automatic transmissions all appeared. At the BICES, an important exhibition for the construction machinery industry, the superior performance of Allison Transmission was highlighted.

The XCT100 truck crane displayed at BICES 2013 is a new model tailored for users by XCMG. It is equipped with Allison 4500 series gearboxes, and its main product highlights are higher reliability. Allison's patented torque converter prevents impact on the driveline during gear shifts and reduces maintenance and downtime. Previously, XCMG's 300-ton and 400-ton cranes have been equipped with Allison 4800 series transmissions.

Ding Honggang, deputy director of Xugong Heavy Technology Center, said: "User feedback, Allison transmission high reliability, minimal failure, and easy maintenance. This is the main reason we continue to choose Allison on new products."

Whether it is reliability or flexibility in working in tight spaces, equipment fitted with Allison transmissions has excellent performance. The SWRT550 off-road tire crane exhibited by Shanhe Smart is equipped with Allison 3500SP series gearbox and has been exported to Australia, South America and Russia.

According to Liu Canlun, assistant general manager of Shanhe Intelligent Equipment Group Tianjin Sanhe Equipment Development Co., Ltd. and vice president of lifting machinery research institute, “Allison automatic gearbox is flexible in operation, excellent in controllability and fine motion. When lifting work Automatic gearboxes allow vehicles on narrow roads in cities to shift easily, driving vehicles slowly and safely close to lifting targets."

Allison is also widely used in the field of mine cars. During the exhibition, Terex (China) Investment Co., Ltd. exhibited the Beizhong TEREX TR50 mining dump truck equipped with Allison H5620AR series transmission. Xiangfan CSR Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. also released the new TB3631 70T truck with the Allison 4500 Orear series gearbox.

Cheng Zhengfu, deputy chief engineer of Xiangfan CSR Special Vehicles Co., Ltd., introduced: "Allison's Continuous Power TechnologyTM ensures uninterrupted power during shifting and reduces power loss when the vehicle goes uphill and downhill. The retarder can reduce brake wear and extend the life of the brake system." He also mentioned that the Allison transmission does not require manual shifting, making it easy to operate, improving driving comfort and reducing the driver's operating requirements. , very much in line with the needs of users of the mining area for practicality.

Zhou Lai-song, General Manager of Allison Transmission China, said, “The users of construction machinery industry always insist on the need to increase productivity. For the extreme engineering operating environment, Allison uses advanced product technology, and we have tailor-made for construction machinery and equipment. The reliable and efficient automatic transmission meets the unique needs of the construction machinery industry. Therefore, our transmission has always been favored by the market."

Actually, a wiper assembly that refuses to move might have a simple blown fuse. But usually fuses don't blow on their own. Even at full stall, the current draw of the motor should be well below the fuse's rating. If the fuse is blown, odds are there's something else wrong, like a shorted wiper-motor armature or faulty wiring anywhere along the harness between the motor and the switch. Even a mechanical problem like a seized bushing can make a fuse eventually fail.

The fuse is okay, or you've replaced it with one that has the appropriate amp rating. There's still no action? With the wipers and ignition on, whack the motor assembly with the handle of a screwdriver or a rubber mallet. If that gets things moving, you've got a bad commutator or an open winding on the armature. When the motor parks, if the brushes are sitting on the bad segment, no current flows. Whacking the whole business smartly can sometimes jolt things into motion. Because there are often a dozen windings on the armature, the motor runs fine until the next time it comes to rest on the bad spot.
