Henan Shuangma non-chemical wheat straw mechanical pulping put into production
In September, Henan Shuangma Paper invested 15 million yuan and assembled a team of skilled technicians to successfully resolve the technical challenges associated with the non-chemical wheat straw mechanical pulping project. By November, the project had received positive evaluation from experts at the Henan Environmental Protection Bureau and the Henan Paper Association. Since then, Shuangma Company has initiated large-scale production of non-chemical wheat straw mechanical pulp. Building on this success, the company announced plans in 2006 to further expand its non-chemical mechanical pulping operations.
The mechanical wheat straw pulp produced through this project meets all the required standards for pre-paste pulp, significantly lowering pollution control costs and achieving a win-win situation for both ecological protection and the development of a circular economy. This innovative technology increases the yield of mechanical pulping by more than 20% compared to traditional chemical methods, which leads to a substantial reduction in the production cost of corrugated paper. Moreover, the mechanical pulping process has achieved physical properties that match those of imported grade A corrugated base paper, making it a competitive and sustainable alternative in the market.
