Divers search for dog in Buffalo Grove 1-26-12
A dog belonging to a resident of Buffalo Grove wandered into a small lake off Fremont Way in the Crossings subdivision on Saturday and tragically drowned. Local firefighters initially tried to locate the pet but were unable to find it. On Thursday, Buffalo Grove divers returned to the scene, joined by additional teams from Long Grove and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, as well as the Lake County Sonar Team. After several hours of searching, they were still unable to recover the dog and ultimately called off the operation.
Larry Shapiro and Tim Olk arrived at the scene to document the recovery efforts and captured a series of compelling images that provide a glimpse into the challenging search.
